Prior to joining CHOI & KIM, Mr. Jung was a partner at Yoon & Yang LLC and, before that, a managing partner at Kim Shin & Yu, which was one of the first-generation law firms in Korea. In particular, he has special knowledge and experience in international litigation, arbitration, maritime law, lease finance, and intellectual property disputes as he spearheaded and supervised cases in these areas at Kim Shin & Yu for 40 years. He has also published myriad treatises and writings related to maritime law and maritime insurance law based on his research experiences through his Doctorate degree and as a lecturer at the Judicial Research and Training Institute.
He is currently active as an advisor for domestic and abroad capital ventures, P&I Clubs, and shipping companies and has worked on leases and international finance matters with major corporations such as City Lease Inc. and KT Capital. Moreover, he has experience in international intellectual property disputes with Gucci, A6, Adidas as well as international arbitration and mediation, plant constrictions, and vessel product liability suits with MSC Carla, Hyundai Fortune, Miranda Rose, etc.
